Wine and Chocolate Pairing Class

We at Kakao Chocolate are very excited about an upcoming event many of you have been waiting for: a Chocolate and Wine Pairing Class!

Angela Ortmann, a.k.a. STLwinegirl, will join Brian Pelletier of Kakao on Wednesday, March 10, from 7 to 9 p.m., as we explore the inner workings of chocolate and wine, the food and drink of the gods. Angela is a certified sommelier and an all-around wonderful woman, and we’re looking forward to co-hosting this event with her.

This will be no ordinary swirl and sip. Brian is going to tell you all about chocolate, how it’s made, and what makes it so good, and good for you. Then Angela do the same with wine. Then we’ll start pairing up delectable Kakao chocolates with wines that Angela has hand-picked for each treat, and she’ll share with you why the two go together so well. We’ve got five pairings planned, so be prepared to eat, drink and learn a lot!

Cost for the event is $25, and reservations are required. Please call the Kakao shop at 314.771.2310 where we’ll take your name, phone and credit card to hold your spot. Because we expect this to be a popular event (we promise we’ll do this regularly!) we’ll need to hear from you by March 6 if you need to cancel so we can let someone on the waiting list have your seat.
