Grand Opening

Need some Kakao Chocolate? We know exactly how you can get some, every week.

You can come to 2301 South Jefferson Avenue, 63104. Just a half-mile south of I-44 in Fox Park. When you come to the corner of Jefferson and Shenandoah, you can look at the buildings on the corner and see the one that’s obviously a chocolate shop. (If you’re not sure, it’s the one with the Kakao logo on the windows.)

For the past year we’ve been making our chocolates and confections in our workshop on Cherokee Street. Those of you who have visited know that it was small and a bit dark, and not exactly inviting to people who wanted to buy some chocolate.

You just have to come see the next step we’ve taken.

And you can do that at the Grand Opening of our new location on Saturday, May 30, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. We’ll have all your favorite chocolates — hand-dipped truffles, sea salt caramels, pecan caramels, strawberry chocolates, dragees, chocolate bark, fruit marshmallows, and of course marshmallow pies. And a few surprises, too.

After that, you’ll be able to stop by the Kakao Shop every week. Yes, that’s right, we’ll be open every Friday from noon to 6:30 p.m., and every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

See you soon!
